Buff Bot – New World Season 10

The New World Buff Bot Build, often serving as a replacement for the second healer on a raid team, is a specialized setup designed for experienced groups in New World’s raids, such as Isle of Night and the Hive of Gorgons. Built around the Power Stone and a War Hammer with 2 skill slots, this build focuses on stacking debuffs and providing team-wide buffs to maximize team damage output. Success with this role on a team requires a skilled DPS group that can avoid damage without relying on a second dedicated healer. With high Strength and Focus attributes, optimized armor perks, and timed ability rotations, this build enhances your teams raid performance. Below, I detail the weapon choices, gear perks, jewelry, and gameplay strategies to excel as a Buff Bot in a high-skill team composition. Updated for New World Season 10: Nighthaven.

How to Play

  1. Path of Destiny
  2. Shockwave
  3. Armor Breaker
  4. Bludgeon
  5. Vortex
  6. Eruption
  7. light attack until Hammer cooldowns are back

The light attacks until Hammer abilities are back will extend debuffs on the target, so this is very important.

With 5x Enfeebling (80% extension) this helps Power Stone Weaken extend from 5s to 9s, allowing for a 4s window to refresh with a new basic attack. It also turns the Shockwave Weaken from 10s to 18s, allowing for constant a constant weaken – meaning your allies should be taken less damage at all times.

Empower details

Powerful Honing Stone 7%
Crowded Bludgeon 13%
Arcane Vortex 10%
Leadership (team) 10%
Oblivion (team) 15%
Total 55%

Empower is capped at 50%, but having more than 50% can help you manage to stay at cap at all times. To know where your current Empower total stands, check out the Empower Calculator.

Tips to Remember

This build is generally the replacement for the second healer, which allows the second Sword and Shield player to focus on DPS, and maybe run the 5% spear build. Overall this creates a clear team composition where you don’t have repeat weapon builds, ie two War Hammers or two 5% spear builds, since duplicates won’t stack debuffs in a team.

The Buff Bot build normally requires a skillful team with DPS who know boss mechanics enough to avoid damage almost entirely, which removes the need for a dedicated second healer.

Generally easy to play since you are just spamming abilities when they are off cooldown and light attacking during downtime.
