Catacombs Tank Build – New World Season 10

Hammer is used to Rend, stagger, and weaken enemies before your teammates engage.

By the time you swap to your sword, many of the low-level mobs will be finished and you will be fighting the higher level enemies. Where the extra defense from SnS will help you survive, and apply additional debuffs. This also applies to boss fights.

Tips to remember

You need to be fast in order to clear Catacombs and get maximum rewards. This means ensuring you have gathered all mob aggro, and leading the charge into the next rooms.

It is recommended to have backup amulets for the various boss fights when you know what damage the enemy will be doing. For example, an Arcane Protection amulet for the new lost boss. Or an Ice/Strike protection Amulet for the Glacial Tarn boss.
